Delete your TakaFG account

You can delete your TakaFG account at any time — in the app in a few taps, or from this page without it. Here is how, and exactly what happens to your data.

In the app

  1. Open the Profile tab, then tap Settings (the gear icon, top right).
  2. Tap Privacy.
  3. Tap Delete my account, then confirm with Delete.

You are signed out on every device straight away, and the app shows the date your account will be erased.

Without the app

Uninstalled the app, or can't sign in any more? You can ask us to delete your account without it.

Email support@takafg.com from the address linked to your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. Writing from another address? Tell us the account's email address.

Or use the contact form and choose the topic “Delete my account”.

To protect your account, we first check that the request really comes from its owner — we may write to the account's email address to confirm. Once that is done, we delete the account ourselves, within 30 days at most as the GDPR requires, and confirm by email. There is no grace period on this route.

What happens after deleting in the app

  1. Your account is scheduled for deletion and signed out on every device.
  2. A 27-day grace period starts. Changed your mind? Sign in again before it ends and the deletion is cancelled.
  3. When the 27 days are up, the deletion is permanent: your account data is erased or irreversibly anonymised. This cannot be undone. If you signed in with Apple, TakaFG's access to your Apple ID is revoked at that point too.

What is erased

Your profile (name, username, photo), your email address and sign-in details, your friends and blocks, your location data, your notifications, your reactions and your support messages.

What is kept

  • Scorecards of matches you played with other players, in anonymised form: your name is replaced with “deleted player”. They are also those players' history.
  • Security logs: a minimal record that the deletion was requested and carried out, with no profile data in it.
  • Aggregated statistics that can no longer identify anyone.
